Poetry & Art Collaboration
I have recently began a collaboration with a writer I met through a poetry website. Her name is Lesley Patterson and she wrote a poem for children to teach them about love and respect for animals. Her poem “Always Love Your Pet, No Matter How Old They Get” will be our first poetry & art project. If you are interested in reading the poem now, you can visit https://familyfriendpoems.com/poem/118452.
I will be publishing the Poetry & Art Project in our next community update!
Oh yeah, I paint too…
For 2019, I’m going to continue my “Urban Scenes with Animals” series by completing four new paintings this year.
Other painting projects include pastel painting classes with Lydia Pottoff in January, Urban Sketching with the Boulder Urban Sketchers (and my pal Lisa Larsen), daily doodling, and painting my way through my huge folder of photographs titled “Art Projects.”

Art Show & Gift Show Sale
Every year, my art guild does an art show & gift shop sale in June at the Boulder County Fairgrounds. You might recall, this is the same show my husband Richard won “Best of Show” last year with his photograph titled “Workbench.” I also received 3rd place with my very first pastel painting entry. We hope to repeat our successes this time around!
