Anger is self-preserving and self-protecting energy. This image came to me during Shavasana practice in my yoga class, shortly after I had a memory surface about toxic shaming I experienced as a child. This heart in this painting is my own heart bursting with anger, grief and shame. The breasts represent the images I was forbidden to draw.
